Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) With a little luck, Trinidad's Orain Hornedo got control of the ball when Xaver Moniz tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Fernando Montemayor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 6th match minute, Trinidad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaztea Aguinaco to maneuver through the defense. When Xaver Moniz came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Mataojo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xaver Moniz couldn't finish the play. 13 minutes into the match, Trinidad's goalkeeper Orain Hornedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xaver Moniz. In the 14th minute of the match, Fernando Montemayor tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Orain Hornedo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 15th match minute, Trinidad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivon Hormaiztegui to maneuver through the defense. Balasi Mariño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belo Bacete in the 19th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mataojo's zone, Belo Bacete stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Balasi Mariño came out of the goal and Belo Bacete tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute Belo Bacete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Balasi Mariño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute, one of Mataojo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mataojo. In the 25th minute there was a penalty for Trinidad. Refugio Espuga stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Balasi Mariño. 0-1. Trinidad's Gilmar Fermosel got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Montemayor in the 37th minute of play forced Trinidad's goalkeeper Orain Hornedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilmar Fermosel in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Balasi Mariño saved Mataojo from getting behind. Mataojo's Balasi Mariño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilmar Fermosel in the 42nd minute of play. Xaver Moniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orain Hornedo having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernando Montemayor to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Mataojo got a corner. Trinidad's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Poz Bonechea ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Gilmar Fermosel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot by Olando Arando from long distance, 65 minutes into the match, got Balasi Mariño's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Ivon Hormaiztegui charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivon Hormaiztegui the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Mataojo booed when Trinidad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivon Hormaiztegui didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xaver Moniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orain Hornedo having to interfere. Orain Hornedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Montemayor in the 73rd minute of play. Trinidad's Gilmar Fermosel got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Trinidad played a much better game than Mataojo and deserved their victory. The Mataojo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
