The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gonzo Brunati during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 6 minutes, Ixaka Oñatibia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carmelo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ixaka Oñatibia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jayvier Villamediana hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Pinera FC's Aitor Bueres slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ostargi Marcha. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play. If Cordero Brufau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pinera FC's goalkeeper Bakar Colomo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Carmelo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cordero Brufau came free, but Ostargi Marcha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pinera FC's Bakar Colomo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinaldo Portanares in the 35th minute of play. Ulises Portillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bakar Colomo having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Pinera FC's goal looked a bit too open when Reinaldo Portanares came free, but Bakar Colomo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulises Portillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bakar Colomo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ulises Portillo ran back to his position shaking his head. Reinaldo Portanares took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bakar Colomo. Bakar Colomo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. After the first half Carmelo FC were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cordero Brufau to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulises Portillo in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bakar Colomo saved Pinera FC from getting behind. 60 minutes into the match, Ibon Othaz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bakar Colomo, 2-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Cordero Brufau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pinera FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cordero Brufau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ostargi Marcha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alberino Gaztelumendi scored 3-4 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ostargi Marcha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ibon Othaz's late challenge caught a Pinera FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ibon Othaz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Pinera FC booed when Carmelo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ibon Othaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reinaldo Portanares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ulises Portillo came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Carmelo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulises Portillo couldn't finish the play. In the 81st minute, Ulises Portillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ostargi Marcha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertran Moxi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reinaldo Portanares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 96 minutes, Reinaldo Portanares made it 3-5 with a short kick to the right side. Pinera FC's Bakar Colomo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match was over Carmelo FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pinera FC throughout the match.
