Txanton Trillanes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ulises Portillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Txanton Trillanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulises Portillo in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Txanton Trillanes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulises Portillo in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Txanton Trillanes saved Melo from getting behind. Ibon Othaz charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ibon Othaz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ibon Othaz hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. The supporters of Carmelo FC booed when Melo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toro Jane didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulises Portillo scored 0-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Txanton Trillanes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Carmelo FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Raymond Xavier hit a great ball. If Ulises Portillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Txanton Trillanes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulises Portillo's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute, Bemabe Ojesto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute, Ibon Othaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raymond Xavier lost his temper 77 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 80 minutes into the game, Guilllermo Hebia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carmelo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Melo the free kick. Donio Bacon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Ostargi Marcha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Reguero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ostargi Marcha having to interfere. When Ulises Portillo came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Carmelo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulises Portillo couldn't finish the play. Guilllermo Hebia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Txanton Trillanes having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Melo's goal looked a bit too open when Ulises Portillo came free, but Txanton Trillanes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ostargi Marcha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pello Somiedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute, Paulo Penagos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 99th minute of the match Ixaka Oñatibia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Txanton Trillanes skillfully saved the ball.
