In the 21stth minute of the game Udalaitz Merino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pedernal's Niolaao Mallo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Pedernal's Eate Lainez got a free kick in the 24th minute. Niolaao Mallo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cheche Arnao in the 27th minute of play. Cheche Arnao recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Ceibal FC's Dario Carrozal got control of the ball when Zarbonin Villaurreta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Godofredo Boces sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Zarbonin Villaurreta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Udalaitz Merino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niolaao Mallo having to interfere. The supporters of Pedernal booed when Ceibal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Fresnedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Pedernal's Boni Mensa broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After the first half Ceibal FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Udalaitz Merino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Gadañon during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Pedernal getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Paulo Gadañon hit a great ball. In the 62nd match minute, Ceibal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cidro Pelon to maneuver through the defense. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dario Carrozal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 64th minute, Zarbonin Villaurreta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pedernal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 68 played minutes Ceibal FC got a freekick which was hit by Cidro Pelon. Godofredo Boces received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Dario Carrozal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 77 minutes, Udalaitz Merino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ceibal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Udalaitz Merino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cheche Arnao's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, Niolaao Mallo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Udalaitz Merino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ceibal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Udalaitz Merino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niolaao Mallo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cheche Arnao who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Niolaao Mallo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 90 minutes, Godofredo Boces managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pedernal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Godofredo Boces was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
