Cerrezuelo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Correa the free kick. Leoncio Provencio hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Peruanton Olarria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melchor Almonte in the 29th minute of the match. When Armando Candana came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Correa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Candana couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Cerrezuelo's zone, Mikel Corte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Montes Cediel came out of the goal and Mikel Corte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the match, Correa's goalkeeper Peruanton Olarria had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lehior Oliveros. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Melchor Almonte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Montes Cediel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikel Corte, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cerrezuelo had won after a very even match.
