The supporters of Arenales booed when Valentines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 12th minute, Valentines's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Xavieon Jara fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Eleuterio Blanquel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Domeka Azailla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arenales's Amadeo Caracedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loi Felipez in the 33rd minute of play. Palben Eguilaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Caracedo having to interfere. A collision led to Arenales getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Epifanio Cerezo hit a great ball. Loi Felipez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Palben Eguilaz to make the kick off. Amadeo Caracedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesus Leizaur in the 58th minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Loi Felipez couldn't finish the play. Palben Eguilaz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Amadeo Caracedo came out and tried to block the shot, but Palben Eguilaz slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavieon Jara in the 67th minute of play forced Valentines's goalkeeper Domeka Azailla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Palben Eguilaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
