Spectators: 6702 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1702, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edgardo Alvarez started the match with the kick off. Edgardo Alvarez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robustiano Xandri having to interfere. Cordero Pedrais charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cordero Pedrais the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Aguila AFC booed when Cufre FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cordero Pedrais didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute, Edgardo Alvarez made a precise shot to the right of Robustiano Xandri. Aguila AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Cordero Pedrais kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Zemario Aguinagalde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chano Manrique, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgardo Alvarez couldn't finish the play. Celestino Terminel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robustiano Xandri having to make a save. Robustiano Xandri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Alvarez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Cufre FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chano Manrique to make the kick off. Edgardo Alvarez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Robustiano Xandri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aguila AFC's Estavan Torienzo got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artaldo Oviedo during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 65 played minutes Cufre FC got a freekick which was hit by Artaldo Oviedo. A collision led to Aguila AFC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Eugenio Petino hit a great ball. The supporters of Aguila AFC booed when Cufre FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artaldo Oviedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Estavan Torienzo in the 96th minute of play forced Cufre FC's goalkeeper Zemario Aguinagalde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Cufre FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cufre FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
