The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Arenal:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Casupa:s goal. In the 5th minute there was a penalty for Casupa. Bernaldo Boo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eutor Idiaquez. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chinto Muelas in the 11th minute of play forced Casupa's goalkeeper Rocio Ballin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rocio Ballin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mederi Goiti in the 15th minute of play. Mederi Goiti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Rocio Ballin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute Senin Saldivar suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Nuno Braña charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nuno Braña the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee gave Casupa a penalty, 21 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bernaldo Boo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Arenal's Eutor Idiaquez. 0-2. Arenal's Eutor Idiaquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baristo Tamaron in the 23rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Baristo Tamaron managed to get in a good position for a shot. Casupa's supporters rose to their feet, but Baristo Tamaron was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eutor Idiaquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mederi Goiti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 41 played minutes Arenal got a freekick which was hit by Alonso Alzedar. Bartoli Bobes short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Rocio Ballin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mederi Goiti stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Casupa's goal looked a bit too open when Chinto Muelas came free, but Rocio Ballin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 60 played minutes Casupa got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Chamorro. 67 minutes into the match, Arenal's goalkeeper Eutor Idiaquez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baristo Tamaron. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Casupa's goalkeeper Rocio Ballin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Medardo Cedeno fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arenal's protests and gave Medardo Cedeno a yellow card for diving instead. After 81 played minutes Arenal got a freekick which was hit by Medardo Cedeno. After 83 played minutes, Casupa's Cipriano Chamorro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eutor Idiaquez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Casupa reached it. In the 85th minute, Baristo Tamaron ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eutor Idiaquez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Rocio Ballin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartoli Bobe, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Baristo Tamaron's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 91stth minute, Eutor Idiaquez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 94 minutes into the game, Niceto Arias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arenal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Casupa the free kick. In the 95th minute, Niceto Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Casupa's Bernaldo Boo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 95th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Arenal. The Casupa players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
