Gilen Melon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Cainzos in the 13th minute of play forced Palmitas's goalkeeper Jairo Gaztelumendi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laurendi Urquioja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Gaztelumendi having to interfere. When Palmitas FC's Arnulfo Cainzos in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Izel Lozano made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Olo Bretal sent off a good shot on target. Gilen Melon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Palmitas's Olo Bretal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Izel Lozano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Gilen Melon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnulfo Cainzos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilen Melon to make the kick off. Andres Vilas charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andres Vilas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Palmitas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnulfo Cainzos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jairo Gaztelumendi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gilen Melon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Izel Lozano having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Palmitas FC's zone, Gilen Melon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Izel Lozano came out of the goal and Gilen Melon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Laurendi Urquioja was extremely unlucky when he, in the 87th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Palmitas were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Palmitas FC for a fine match.
