The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raymundo Feo during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 3rd match minute, CALAMAR GIGANTE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raymundo Feo to maneuver through the defense. 1-0 became the score in the 5th minute when Gero Pages elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Maximo Gian's late challenge caught a CALAMAR GIGANTE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maximo Gian helped the player get up and apologised. After 8 played minutes Libertad got a freekick which was hit by Maximo Gian. Lisandro Matanza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Zayvion Lerdo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lisandro Matanza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gero Pages sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. CALAMAR GIGANTE's Vasco Garcidueñas got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Rogelio Ameyugo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 minutes of play CALAMAR GIGANTE's Raymundo Feo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Raymundo Feo kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Ganix Suso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Libertad's supporters rose to their feet, but Ganix Suso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aitor Avellano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aitor Avellano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gero Pages, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gero Pages in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aitor Avellano prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gero Pages to make the kick off. When Ganix Suso came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Libertad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ganix Suso couldn't finish the play. Aitor Avellano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ganix Suso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Gero Pages's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aitor Avellano was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. When Lisandro Matanza fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CALAMAR GIGANTE's protests and gave Lisandro Matanza a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rdth minute of the game Gero Pages who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CALAMAR GIGANTE's Aitor Avellano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aitor Avellano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gero Pages in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 75thth minute of the game Gero Pages who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CALAMAR GIGANTE's Aitor Avellano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
