In the 14th minute, Loreto Viveros fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Lizar Guruzeta, passed just outside the right post. In the 36th minute, Andres Manrique made a precise shot to the right of Pascoal Jayaga. Lapuente AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zambullon AFC's goalkeeper Lizar Guruzeta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 42 minutes, Andres Manrique managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zambullon AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andres Manrique was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 46 minutes into the game, Licerio Llanderas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lizar Guruzeta. Licerio Llanderas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andres Manrique stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Licerio Llanderas's late challenge caught a Zambullon AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Licerio Llanderas helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Lapuente AFC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Licerio Llanderas hit a great ball. The supporters of Lapuente AFC booed when Zambullon AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Izotz Sandines didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lorenzo Ambrosio in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lizar Guruzeta saved Zambullon AFC from getting behind. In the 80thth minute of the game Lorenzo Ambrosio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zambullon AFC's Lizar Guruzeta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lizar Guruzeta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rai Mexia in the 85th minute of play. Lorenzo Ambrosio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 98 minutes, Loreto Viveros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lapuente AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Loreto Viveros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
