Naldo Gallego fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mancio Colomes having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Lena in the 24th minute of play forced Potencia F.C.'s goalkeeper Mancio Colomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ekain Marimon in the 30th minute of play forced Montevideo F.C.'s goalkeeper Tauro Gamones to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hakan Ünsal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Tauro Gamones tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan Lena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Mancio Colomes made a huge save. 63 minutes into the match, Montevideo F.C.'s Juan Lena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mancio Colomes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tauro Gamones prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mancio Colomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaizko Oñaederra in the 82nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Potencia F.C.'s Ekain Marimon got a free kick in the 84th minute. Juan Lena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Mancio Colomes made a huge save. In the 89th minute, Léo Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Juan Lena notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Potencia F.C.'s Mancio Colomes. Mancio Colomes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 96th minute Edgardo Juarros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tauro Gamones saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
