In the 20thth minute of the game Fernan Cabredo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A.Peñarol's Rodney Mirafuentes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rodney Mirafuentes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javiero Tosantos, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Javiero Tosantos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Rodney Mirafuentes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. C.A.Peñarol's Rodney Mirafuentes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernan Cabredo in the 26th minute of play. Joseba Irigoras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orain Neriz having to interfere. After 30 minutes, Caitano Viñas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Tres Piernas FC and the C.A.Peñarol players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vedillo Guia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Vedillo Guia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 35 played minutes Los Tres Piernas FC got a freekick which was hit by Caitano Viñas. Joseba Irigoras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orain Neriz having to interfere. Javiero Tosantos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Eneto Merchan fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A.Peñarol's protests and gave Eneto Merchan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to C.A.Peñarol getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Eneto Merchan hit a great ball. After 48 played minutes C.A.Peñarol got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Astola. Los Tres Piernas FC were awarded a corner in the 50th minute after C.A.Peñarol's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jenaro Viramontez took the corner. The corner ended in Jenaro Viramontez almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but C.A.Peñarol's Rodney Mirafuentes did a great save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Joseba Irigoras made the kick off in the second half. Vedillo Guia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the game, Vedillo Guia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Orain Neriz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 68 minutes into the match, C.A.Peñarol's goalkeeper Rodney Mirafuentes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Javiero Tosantos. Ciro Astola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute.
