After a defensive mix-up in Solis's zone, Gilesindo Baragaño stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gelacio Lasalde came out of the goal and Gilesindo Baragaño tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gilesindo Baragaño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Solis's Edwardo Cortez got a free kick in the 19th minute. A collision led to Solis getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Edwardo Cortez hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Bazkoare Fariñas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Solis's supporters rose to their feet, but Bazkoare Fariñas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duardo Marroquin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Solis booed when Santiago FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Umbruso Escalera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bazkoare Fariñas struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Duardo Marroquin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Solis. Timo Anton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Duardo Marroquin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Gelacio Lasalde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manni Veidazar in the 73rd minute of play. Bazkoare Fariñas charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bazkoare Fariñas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 76 played minutes Solis got a freekick which was hit by Bazkoare Fariñas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manni Veidazar in the 79th minute of play forced Solis's goalkeeper Gelacio Lasalde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Timo Anton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Solis defense, Manni Veidazar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gelacio Lasalde. The Solis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gelacio Lasalde should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Santiago FC booed when Solis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prejun Barcenilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, Santiago FC could leave the field as winners, despite Solis having more of the ball for most of the match.
