The supporters of Uruguay AFC booed when Concordia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stephen Donis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isaac Cigüenza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Edson Aranzabal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateus Barnuevo in the 25th minute of play forced Concordia's goalkeeper Edson Aranzabal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 28 minutes, Lehen Gibaja managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Concordia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lehen Gibaja was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edson Aranzabal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateus Barnuevo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lehior Devalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edson Aranzabal having to interfere. In the 40th minute of the match, Piearres Bezanilla tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edson Aranzabal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 42 minutes into the match, Concordia's goal looked a bit too open when Piearres Bezanilla came free, but Edson Aranzabal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lehen Gibaja stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edson Aranzabal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateus Barnuevo in the 52nd minute of the match. Galtero Pedrais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Uruguay AFC's goalkeeper Eliseo Odoardo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 64th match minute, Concordia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. Romelio Nuño, 65 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Eliseo Odoardo made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Galtero Pedrais sent off a good shot on target. Edson Aranzabal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Cigüenza, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After 82 played minutes Concordia got a freekick which was hit by Leoncio Freigido. If Mateus Barnuevo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. Uruguay AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mateus Barnuevo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edson Aranzabal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
