The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Deunoro Velicia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrique Aguado, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 6th minute, Severiano Olier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agostinho Vada during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Agostinho Vada kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After 11 minutes of play, Moirones's Arixo Gorvea made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Deunoro Velicia was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Blai Aguilar in the 15th minute of play forced Punta Carretas FC's goalkeeper Deunoro Velicia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Punta Carretas FC's Gervaso Obarenes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Patrido Doria. That made the score 1-1 after 17 minutes of play. Maraman Fajardo charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maraman Fajardo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Maraman Fajardo hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Moirones's goalkeeper Patrido Doria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Moirones getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Agostinho Vada hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Eguzki Pangusion managed to get in a good position for a shot. Punta Carretas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eguzki Pangusion was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrido Doria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henrique Aguado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jesco Sotuela kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Jeremias Gasca was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 46th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eguzki Pangusion to make the kick off. Henrique Aguado's late challenge caught a Punta Carretas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henrique Aguado helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Moirones's Henrique Aguado got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Moirones's goalkeeper Patrido Doria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Punta Carretas FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Gervaso Obarenes hit a great ball. Punta Carretas FC's Deunoro Velicia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arixo Gorvea in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Joel Aponte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eguzki Pangusion took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patrido Doria. Patrido Doria dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. 67 minutes into the game, Pagomari Viesca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Punta Carretas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Moirones the free kick. In the 67th minute, Pagomari Viesca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 70 played minutes Moirones got a freekick which was hit by Arixo Gorvea. 4-1 became the score in the 71st minute when Fernendo Mezcano elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Patrido Doria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eguzki Pangusion, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Gavino Mesia took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Deunoro Velicia. Punta Carretas FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Blai Aguilar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moirones's supporters rose to their feet, but Blai Aguilar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Deunoro Velicia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 94 minutes, Arixo Gorvea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moirones's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arixo Gorvea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patrido Doria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernendo Mezcano in the 96th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Moirones players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Punta Carretas FC.
