The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rdth minute of the game Nesor Herquinigo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Minuano AFC's Balasi Limofer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bartoli Martinena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peñarol Inteligencia FC's Bahiano Guiza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartoli Martinena in the 23rd minute of play. After 23 played minutes Peñarol Inteligencia FC got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Minguez. In the 24th minute, Aurre Macua left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Minuano AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Bartoli Martinena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bahiano Guiza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Bartoli Martinena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bahiano Guiza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bartoli Martinena's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. In the 33rd minute, Norberto Minguez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bartoli Martinena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the game, Minuano AFC's Aurre Macua nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bahiano Guiza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 42 minutes into the match, Peñarol Inteligencia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bartoli Martinena came free, but Bahiano Guiza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bartoli Martinena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Bahiano Guiza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nesor Herquinigo was the one to do the kick off. Nesor Herquinigo struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Balasi Limofer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peñarol Inteligencia FC. Balasi Limofer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nesor Herquinigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Omar Reigosa fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peñarol Inteligencia FC's protests and gave Omar Reigosa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Peñarol Inteligencia FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Omar Reigosa hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Minguez in the 79th minute of play forced Minuano AFC's goalkeeper Balasi Limofer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Minuano AFC's Lucian Malpica got a free kick in the 81st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Nesor Herquinigo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peñarol Inteligencia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nesor Herquinigo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Balasi Limofer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bahiano Guiza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurre Macua, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Bahiano Guiza came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Minuano AFC's Bartoli Martinena. But to his dismay, Bartoli Martinena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. The Peñarol Inteligencia FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Minuano AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Minuano AFC.
