Rosas's Romulo Lerma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Rosas from getting a goal against them. Ubaldo Sandin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rosas's Romulo Lerma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferran Viniambres in the 28th minute of play. Demario Ayon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Lehior Pañizares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Quintana's goal looked a bit too open when Naelio Oñatibia came free, but Lehior Pañizares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Quintana's goal looked a bit too open when Demario Ayon came free, but Lehior Pañizares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Rosas's zone, Ferran Viniambres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After 57 minutes of play, Quintana's Ubaldo Sandin made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romulo Lerma was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Quintana booed when Rosas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Arroyo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leandro Maxenchs's late challenge caught a Quintana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Romulo Lerma went to the wrong direction when Ximeno Cotilla was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After 69 minutes, Julio Arona mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rosas and the Quintana players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th minute, Julio Arona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ferran Viniambres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romulo Lerma read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. If Demario Ayon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quintana's Iparragirre Zubiaur got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcos Arroyo kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. If Iparragirre Zubiaur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, Rosas's goal looked a bit too open when Iparragirre Zubiaur came free, but Romulo Lerma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romulo Lerma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferran Viniambres in the 100th minute of play.
