Guayabos's Bazil Castillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Guayabos from getting a goal against them. In the 28th match minute, Castillo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Merexildo Caravajal to maneuver through the defense. Dante Montoto's late challenge caught a Castillo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guayabos's Bazil Castillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hurko Coya in the 59th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Castillo's goalkeeper Paquito Clavell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Balendin Seguin. Bazil Castillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saturnino Lluba, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Hurko Coya kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Saturnino Lluba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bazil Castillo having to interfere.
