Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) CA PEÑAROL's Ricardo Urreche started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Elodio Mariategui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Blasco Miralles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Suero Balanza made a huge save. 30 minutes into the match, Caraballo's Blasco Miralles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Suero Balanza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Blasco Miralles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Eyague Tudela in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Caraballo's Elodio Mariategui. After 42 minutes of play CA PEÑAROL's Laureano Rayon was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. When the match had been going on for 44 minutes, Caraballo's Naike Lizaso got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Suero Balanza. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when 陆卫夕 made the kick off in the second half. If Blasco Miralles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Caraballo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. CA PEÑAROL's Suero Balanza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blasco Miralles in the 97th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Caraballo fully deserved thier win.
