Spectators: 6693 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1693, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lorien Orodea kicked off to start the match. Galeno Dacorrega came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Varese FC's Goito Oresti. But to his dismay, Goito Oresti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Henric Deaguero hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Lorien Orodea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmiro Bacardi in the 22nd minute of play forced Varese FC's goalkeeper Nuxila Armea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Delmiro Bacardi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nuxila Armea was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 27 minutes into the match, Varese FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lorien Orodea came free, but Nuxila Armea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lorien Orodea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Nuxila Armea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nuxila Armea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delmiro Bacardi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lorien Orodea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Delmiro Bacardi managed to get in a good position for a shot. defensor's supporters rose to their feet, but Delmiro Bacardi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuxila Armea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nuxila Armea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lorien Orodea's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Raul Labarra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Galeno Dacorrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raul Labarra might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Galeno Dacorrega. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raul Labarra ran back to his position shaking his head. Goito Oresti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Galeno Dacorrega having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raul Labarra was the one to do the kick off. If Clawirton Merchan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Varese FC's Raul Labarra got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th match minute, Varese FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petrigai Montesino to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd match minute, Varese FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Sella to maneuver through the defense. Lorien Orodea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Nuxila Armea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 68 played minutes Varese FC got a freekick which was hit by David Cimbrelo. 76 minutes into the game, Librado Cueto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. defensor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varese FC the free kick. After some careless play in the defensor defense, Goito Oresti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Galeno Dacorrega. The defensor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Galeno Dacorrega should have stopped the shot. If Goito Oresti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delmiro Bacardi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Varese FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while defensor had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
