The audience was convinced that Ceandro Cano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elequemedo Busquet was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Ceandro Cano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Transito Serna in the 45th minute of play forced Lavaderos's goalkeeper Bero Llain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hanot Lorenzana might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bero Llain. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hanot Lorenzana ran back to his position shaking his head. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Bero Llain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hanot Lorenzana, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Elequemedo Busquet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacobo Torrascasana in the 58th minute. If Ceandro Cano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. Elequemedo Busquet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceandro Cano in the 64th minute of play. 64 minutes into the game, Lavaderos's Ceandro Cano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bero Llain dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3.
