In the 25th match minute, Lavaderos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camerino Mascarañas to maneuver through the defense. When Gaston Matute fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Merinos's protests and gave Gaston Matute a yellow card for diving instead. Gaston Matute kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Paulino Mancina left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Merinos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Lavaderos's Bero Llain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Mancina in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute Baldovino Bausa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bero Llain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Paulino Mancina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merinos's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulino Mancina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bero Llain breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lavaderos's Dorio Arlines got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Merinos getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Baldovino Bausa hit a great ball. Merinos's Rolado Arijola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceandro Cano in the 69th minute of play. If Jacobo Torrascasana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 75th minute by Shepherd Porquera got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Paulino Mancina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ceandro Cano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolado Arijola having to interfere. Jacobo Torrascasana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulino Mancina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bero Llain read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Lavaderos's zone, Shepherd Porquera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bero Llain came out of the goal and Shepherd Porquera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Shepherd Porquera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Bero Llain made a huge save. 95 minutes into the match, Paulino Mancina dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bero Llain, 2-3. Merinos's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
