Bahiano Brieba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Itzaina Gamones in the 16th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Reynold's Ourente Gual nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bahiano Brieba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Ourente Gual had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Bolivar booed when Reynold was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sugar Orejo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Quintin Jalon took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Jeraldo Nanclares to make any attempt to save it. Bahiano Brieba came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Reynold's Ourente Gual. But to his dismay, Ourente Gual quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. In the 47th minute, Ourente Gual made a precise shot to the right of Bahiano Brieba. Bolivar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Itzaina Gamones made a kick off. Sugar Orejo kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Ourente Gual struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Bahiano Brieba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Reynold. Bahiano Brieba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Itzaina Gamones, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. If Jerardo España had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the game, Bolivar's Quintin Jalon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jeraldo Nanclares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-5. Bahiano Brieba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Itzaina Gamones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ourente Gual could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Bahiano Brieba made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Reynold's Balesio Boo got a free kick in the 79th minute. The supporters of Reynold booed when Bolivar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xosepin Payueta didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute of the match Oinaz Niño sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeraldo Nanclares skillfully saved the ball. Quintin Jalon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sugar Orejo charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sugar Orejo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Quintin Jalon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The Reynold supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Reynold would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
