Fernandez Sendin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 25th minute Ruperto Manjaleguas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandez Sendin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Peñarol's goal looked a bit too open when Lehior Escoto came free, but Roger Valseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Montae Corneja was the one to do the kick off. The referee ignored MAIDEN FC's protests and gave Sendoa Maeztu a yellow card for diving instead. The goalkeeper, Fernandez Sendin, was totally fooled by Club Atlético Peñarol's Bernardo Dineros, who 89 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Atlético Peñarol's Juan-Carlos Magadan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fernandez Sendin. That made the score 0-9 after 98 minutes of play. When the match was over Club Atlético Peñarol could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than MAIDEN FC throughout the match.
