In the 28th minute, Geofredo Garro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Federico Guardiola was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After having played for 31 minutes, Mouricio Raireta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mouricio Raireta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Federico Guardiola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tadzio Balanzuela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Ceibal FC booed when Montes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celso Izaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tadzio Balanzuela struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Federico Guardiola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ceibal FC. Tadzio Balanzuela's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Federico Guardiola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tadzio Balanzuela was the one to do the kick off. With an all-out effort, Ceibal FC's Federico Guardiola threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tadzio Balanzuela, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Josu Roldan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Federico Guardiola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadzio Balanzuela, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Geofredo Garro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Guardiola having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pacifico Camarero in the 87th minute of play forced Ceibal FC's goalkeeper Josu Roldan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tadzio Balanzuela in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Federico Guardiola prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pacifico Camarero kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match.
