Spectators: 7436 (Terracing: 5578, Seating: 1710, VIP seats: 148) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Modesto Vallejo kicked off to start the match. Merinos's Hustaz Revillas got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the MARNE FC defense, Domiku Navia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Urtats Acebal. The MARNE FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Urtats Acebal should have stopped the shot. Baiardo Vilanova recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hustaz Revillas struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Urtats Acebal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Merinos. In the 23rd minute, Domiku Navia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Urtats Acebal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 28th minute, Hustaz Revillas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 29th match minute, MARNE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Min Avedillo to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the MARNE FC defense, Domiku Navia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Urtats Acebal. The MARNE FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Urtats Acebal should have stopped the shot. 33 minutes into the match, Merinos's Hustaz Revillas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Urtats Acebal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Caetano Bullon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Urtats Acebal having to make a save. Urtats Acebal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hustaz Revillas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. MARNE FC's Urtats Acebal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domiku Navia in the 45th minute of play. Caetano Bullon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Merinos were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Domiku Navia was the one to do the kick off. After 55 played minutes Merinos got a freekick which was hit by Rodas Parcerices. Caetano Bullon struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Urtats Acebal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Merinos. In the 64th minute Modesto Vallejo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Saldivar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute of the match MARNE FC got a corner. Merinos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Laureano Amarelle ran over to the corner to take the kick. Laureano Amarelle made a great header on MARNE FC's corner, it was just that Merinos's Rodrigo Saldivar managed to reach the ball for a save. Domiku Navia scored 0-4 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Urtats Acebal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in MARNE FC's zone, Baiardo Vilanova stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Urtats Acebal came out of the goal and Baiardo Vilanova tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caetano Bullon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urtats Acebal having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Caetano Bullon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Merinos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. With a little luck, MARNE FC's Urtats Acebal got control of the ball when Hustaz Revillas tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Domiku Navia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Domiku Navia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match was over Merinos could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than MARNE FC throughout the match.
