A collision led to Yaguari getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Tercero Ulloa hit a great ball. Yaguari's Anton Legarda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Yaguari from getting a goal against them. Yaguari's Anton Legarda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eguen Espellosa in the 20th minute of play. Anton Legarda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Omero Veloso in the 27th minute. Leopoldo Caamaño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 35th minute, Eguen Espellosa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Anton Legarda. The goal made the score 1-0. After a rather tough play, Yaguari's Tercero Ulloa got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Omero Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Legarda having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After a rather tough play, Yaguari's Koldo Lecuna got a free kick in the 60th minute. Anton Legarda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omero Veloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. When Leopoldo Caamaño came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Yaguari fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Caamaño couldn't finish the play. Dantel Loriga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Salvator Ruano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salvator Ruano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Caamaño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th match minute, Yaguari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herena Trasviña to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute, Omero Veloso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guido Casal during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Salvator Ruano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leopoldo Caamaño went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The Yaguari supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Yaguari would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
