An unexpectedly hard shot by Gai Obina in the 3rd minute of play forced Mariscala FC's goalkeeper Montxo Lizaur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gabrio Gene had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Cardoso booed when Mariscala FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gervaso Linares didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 9 minutes, Gabrio Gene managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mariscala FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabrio Gene was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gai Obina struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Montxo Lizaur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cardoso. Angel Torralba hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Gervaso Linares hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Generosb Paba from long distance, 45 minutes into the match, got Montxo Lizaur's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Gai Obina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Montxo Lizaur having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when Gai Obina made the kick off in the second half. Gai Obina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 55 minutes, Gabrio Gene managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mariscala FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabrio Gene was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Gai Obina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Montxo Lizaur was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. In the 70th minute, Gasteiz Gallega left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cardoso fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Mariscala FC's Gervaso Linares got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Marciano Banegas came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Mariscala FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marciano Banegas couldn't finish the play. Amato Araoz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabrio Gene, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Marciano Banegas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amato Araoz. That made the score 2-1 in the 86 minute of play. Amato Araoz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabrio Gene, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
