The audience was convinced that Marcelito Uranga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Perpinya Villares was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Perpinya Villares made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Tito Forteza sent off a good shot on target. Tito Forteza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Perpinya Villares made a huge save. Lucila Chasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 49th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nofre Cladera to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Lucila Chasco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Capurro's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucila Chasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vimaro Cortun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 56th minute, Gonzalez's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nofre Cladera fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Vimaro Cortun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nofre Cladera, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Gonzalez's goalkeeper Vimaro Cortun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucila Chasco. Vimaro Cortun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucila Chasco in the 74th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Capurro's zone, Tito Forteza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Perpinya Villares came out of the goal and Tito Forteza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Odol Llantada fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gonzalez's protests and gave Odol Llantada a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th minute, Odol Llantada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Lucila Chasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Capurro's Perpinya Villares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelito Uranga in the 97th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
