The wind increased when Castel Alsedar made the kick off in the second half. Godoy AFC's Vasco Rivacoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Castel Alsedar in the 57th minute of play. Dantel Ustoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Yturrondo in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Prejun Almuzara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Vasco Rivacoba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Napier Cotillo fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Godoy AFC's protests and gave Napier Cotillo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Nacional booed when Godoy AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Napier Cotillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
