Young's Indalecio Pedreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chayo Ziarza in the 20th minute of play. CERRO LARGO F.C's Hurko Enterria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save CERRO LARGO F.C from getting a goal against them. Timoteo Torron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Hurko Enterria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of CERRO LARGO F.C booed when Young was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorato Zuya didn't get a good kick on the ball. Indalecio Pedreira came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by CERRO LARGO F.C's Chayo Ziarza. But to his dismay, Chayo Ziarza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Mannie Raireta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hurko Enterria read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Young's Indalecio Pedreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guaberto Ganchegui in the 35th minute of play. Guaberto Ganchegui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Indalecio Pedreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mannie Raireta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute Mannie Raireta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hurko Enterria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 73 minutes, Mannie Raireta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Young and the CERRO LARGO F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. CERRO LARGO F.C's Guaberto Ganchegui got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guaberto Ganchegui got free with Indalecio Pedreira in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Young's Indalecio Pedreira got control of the ball when Guaberto Ganchegui tried to sneak it across the goal line. Young's Indalecio Pedreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chayo Ziarza in the 80th minute of play. Chayo Ziarza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Indalecio Pedreira having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Fresco Danzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
