Pelayo Melendez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ximun Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zelipe Llamazares in the 74th minute of the match. Padro Garmendia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pelayo Melendez in the 85th minute of play. Sidoro Vello might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Padro Garmendia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sidoro Vello ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Itapebi eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
