Club Deportivo Artigas's Andrzej Byczewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vidal Cavadilla in the 8th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in C.Nacional de Futbol's zone, Lorien Paradela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Sonibas came out of the goal and Lorien Paradela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lorien Paradela blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Francisco Sonibas having to make a save. Lorien Paradela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Sonibas having to interfere. Francisco Sonibas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baiarte Quintana in the 29th minute of play. Francisco Sonibas was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Licerio Cantera capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Licerio Cantera really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Baiarte Quintana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lorien Paradela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Francisco Sonibas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Club Deportivo Artigas's Baiarte Quintana ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Francisco Sonibas. Francisco Sonibas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Francisco Sonibas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baiarte Quintana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vidal Cavadilla to strike the kick off in the second half. When Baiarte Quintana came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Club Deportivo Artigas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baiarte Quintana couldn't finish the play. Lorien Paradela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Sonibas having to interfere. Club Deportivo Artigas's Andrzej Byczewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vidal Cavadilla in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baiarte Quintana in the 74th minute of play forced C.Nacional de Futbol's goalkeeper Francisco Sonibas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute Baiarte Quintana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Sonibas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Sonibas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baiarte Quintana, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Club Deportivo Artigas's Lorien Paradela got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Baiarte Quintana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Deportivo Artigas's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
