Carqueja AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mapaches Aulladores the free kick. When Marcelo Izmendi came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Carqueja AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Izmendi couldn't finish the play. In the 100thth minute Iruinea Carillo got a great chance to score trying to place the ball in the top left corner, but Ostadar Remiro was prepared and efficiently stopped the ball from getting in. The Mapaches Aulladores supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mapaches Aulladores would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
