Seating: 1701, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mazuste Irala took the kick off in the first half of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Fernandez's Mazuste Irala sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Angelo Archuleta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Artur Rogel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xacobo Viñales in the 10th minute of play. Adan Rilo struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Angelo Archuleta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fernandez. Maju Laurencio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Artur Rogel made a huge save. Maju Laurencio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 33 played minutes Fernandez got a freekick which was hit by Charro Solorzano. Xacobo Viñales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Artur Rogel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Fernandez's zone, Maju Laurencio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Rogel came out of the goal and Maju Laurencio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Fernandez's goalkeeper Artur Rogel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xacobo Viñales stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Maju Laurencio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mercedes's supporters rose to their feet, but Maju Laurencio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Rogel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Xacobo Viñales might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Artur Rogel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xacobo Viñales ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 57th minute, Adan Rilo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maju Laurencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Artur Rogel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Adan Rilo came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Fernandez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adan Rilo couldn't finish the play. If Mazuste Irala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mercedes fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! Mazuste Irala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Fernandez's Adan Rilo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Angelo Archuleta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Maju Laurencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adan Rilo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Archuleta having to interfere. Xacobo Viñales sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Fernandez players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
