The audience thought a goal was coming when Bidun Ciscal got free with Zilar Santana in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Trinidad's Prospero Somonte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquilino Urbiso in the 90th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Trinidad had played much better football throughout.
