Spectators: 7094 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1400, VIP seats: 50) Gombal Maceira started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Orlondo Concellon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Ceraso having to interfere. Gombal Maceira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benito Ceraso came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Palomas's Gombal Maceira. But to his dismay, Gombal Maceira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Gombal Maceira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Benito Ceraso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of Canelones F.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Palomas:s goal. In the 26th minute, Gombal Maceira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Ceraso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. A hard shot by Herensuge Martinena from long distance, 30 minutes into the match, got Etxekopar Forcen's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a rather tough play, Palomas's Sustrai Calzado got a free kick in the 30th minute. After having played for 32 minutes, Opilano Gatica managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canelones F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Opilano Gatica was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Palomas's Etxekopar Forcen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chabier Oliveras in the 35th minute of play. Chabier Oliveras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Etxekopar Forcen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Etxekopar Forcen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Opilano Gatica in the 39th minute. After a rather tough play, Palomas's Sustrai Calzado got a free kick in the 39th minute. Canelones F.C's Chabier Oliveras managed to work through Palomas's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Chabier Oliveras dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Benito Ceraso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sustrai Calzado, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chabier Oliveras made a kick off. Gombal Maceira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Ceraso having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Canelones F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Gombal Maceira came free, but Benito Ceraso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 64 minutes, Chabier Oliveras made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Palomas's Etxekopar Forcen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Benito Ceraso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gombal Maceira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Palomas's zone, Chabier Oliveras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Etxekopar Forcen came out of the goal and Chabier Oliveras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 73 minutes into the match, Palomas's goal looked a bit too open when Chabier Oliveras came free, but Etxekopar Forcen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, one of Canelones F.C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 77th minute there was a penalty for Palomas. Guter Lomelin stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Benito Ceraso. 1-4. In the 79th match minute, Palomas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sustrai Calzado to maneuver through the defense. After 82 played minutes Palomas got a freekick which was hit by Cordairo Urtiaran. Gombal Maceira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Ceraso having to interfere. Sindo Charri kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 91st minute of the match Canelones F.C got a corner. Palomas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rosio Areta ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Horacio Barriga heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Opilano Gatica managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canelones F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Opilano Gatica was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Etxekopar Forcen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Canelones F.C's Opilano Gatica in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palomas's goalie prevented a goal. Palomas played a much better game than Canelones F.C and deserved their victory. The Canelones F.C players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
