After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Opilano Gatica managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canelones F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Opilano Gatica was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manny Villapadierna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Opilano Gatica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Manny Villapadierna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benito Ceraso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efrain Haza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manny Villapadierna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chabier Oliveras, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. A collision led to Vazquez getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Primitivo Lombas hit a great ball. Manny Villapadierna was a little too slow when Chabier Oliveras got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Efrain Haza to strike the kick off in the second half. Chabier Oliveras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 55 minutes into the game, Horacio Barriga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canelones F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vazquez the free kick. In the 55th minute, Horacio Barriga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Canelones F.C fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Canelones F.C's Faro Vallujera looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 84th minute, Itzaina Zumaya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chabier Oliveras succeeded in the game's 85th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. After 89 played minutes Canelones F.C got a freekick which was hit by Austin Santa. After recieving a nice pass, Vazquez's Itzaina Zumaya tried to score from far away in the 90th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chabier Oliveras in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manny Villapadierna saved Vazquez from getting behind. Canelones F.C's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
