Opilano Gatica fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cleto Montesino having to interfere. Cleto Montesino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chabier Oliveras in the 29th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Opilano Gatica managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canelones F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Opilano Gatica was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cleto Montesino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 31 minutes, Chabier Oliveras managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canelones F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chabier Oliveras was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guilherme Arcelay's late challenge caught a Canelones F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guilherme Arcelay helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Canelones F.C booed when Guaviyu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guilherme Arcelay didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37thth minute of the game Opilano Gatica who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guaviyu FC's Cleto Montesino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tartalo Solache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Ceraso having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tartalo Solache stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Opilano Gatica fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cleto Montesino having to interfere. With a little luck, Guaviyu FC's Cleto Montesino got control of the ball when Opilano Gatica tried to sneak it across the goal line. Canelones F.C's Benito Ceraso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tartalo Solache in the 68th minute of play. If Opilano Gatica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Guaviyu FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Salvino Dehesa hit a great ball. When Chabier Oliveras fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canelones F.C's protests and gave Chabier Oliveras a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Canelones F.C getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Chabier Oliveras hit a great ball. Guaviyu FC's Cleto Montesino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chabier Oliveras in the 80th minute of play. The supporters of Canelones F.C booed when Guaviyu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvino Dehesa didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 86 in the game by Opilano Gatica from a close distance when the talented Cleto Montesino managed to make a qualified save. Guaviyu FC's players were relieved. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded.
