Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Alvaro Raedo got the match started through his kick off. Manny Alen might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oalo Barranco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manny Alen ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Modesto Traves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barrancas's supporters rose to their feet, but Modesto Traves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oalo Barranco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Barrancas's Gau Almonte got a free kick in the 9th minute. Modesto Traves might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oalo Barranco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Modesto Traves ran back to his position shaking his head. Barrancas's Manny Alen got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Todor Villagarcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Raedo in the 30th minute of play. Todor Villagarcia didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Merinos's Guillem Borges shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Guillem Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Todor Villagarcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Modesto Traves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barrancas's supporters rose to their feet, but Modesto Traves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oalo Barranco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vergaray Roelas during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Barrancas getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Vergaray Roelas hit a great ball. The Barrancas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Merinos were winning 0-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Modesto Traves was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Manny Alen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Modesto Traves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Manny Alen came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Barrancas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manny Alen couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bonifacio Danzo during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 67th match minute, Merinos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bonifacio Danzo to maneuver through the defense. After 68 played minutes, Barrancas's Xavion Landeribar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Oalo Barranco came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barrancas reached it. 80 minutes in the game, Alvaro Raedo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Todor Villagarcia having to interfere. Barrancas's Todor Villagarcia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Barrancas from getting a goal against them. Alvaro Raedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, Barrancas's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Raedo came free, but Todor Villagarcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute Alvaro Raedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Todor Villagarcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Todor Villagarcia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guillem Borges went, in the 98th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Merinos walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
