Haitz Veleña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurken Lalo in the 10th minute of play. The supporters of Coquimbo booed when Club Sportivo Fafnir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Torre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Coquimbo's Paulin Jordan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 12th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Club Sportivo Fafnir. Lano Baranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quinton Pastrana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodney Arvelo having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aristides Blanch in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Haitz Veleña saved Club Sportivo Fafnir from getting behind. In the 27th minute, Aurken Lalo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Aurken Lalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Sportivo Fafnir's Haitz Veleña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurken Lalo in the 34th minute of play. If Quinton Pastrana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodney Arvelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quinton Pastrana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on Club Sportivo Fafnir's corner Inko Arriola fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rodney Arvelo quite easily take care of the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Baltasar Heres cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Haitz Veleña was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Haitz Veleña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristides Blanch in the 51st minute of play. Aristides Blanch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Haitz Veleña tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club Sportivo Fafnir's Haitz Veleña proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Club Sportivo Fafnir from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Coquimbo's zone, Quinton Pastrana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodney Arvelo came out of the goal and Quinton Pastrana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodney Arvelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lano Baranda in the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quinton Pastrana in the 68th minute of play forced Coquimbo's goalkeeper Rodney Arvelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 73 minutes, Aristides Blanch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coquimbo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aristides Blanch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Haitz Veleña showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurken Lalo in the 74th minute of the match. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Coquimbo's goalkeeper Rodney Arvelo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aristides Blanch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Haitz Veleña made a huge save. Aurken Lalo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haitz Veleña having to interfere. In the 90th minute Aurken Lalo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haitz Veleña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aristides Blanch got free with Haitz Veleña in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aurken Lalo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Coquimbo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
