Urre Durazos short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Calixto Vigil to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tala Fútbol Club's goalkeeper David Texidor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Urre Durazo took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Calixto Vigil. Calixto Vigil dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Severino Mendizabal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. David Texidor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Jerrold Baranda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Texidor having to make a save. If Urre Durazo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute Miliano Burell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calixto Vigil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severino Mendizabal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. David Texidor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Montevideo AFC's Jerrold Baranda got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jerrold Baranda charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jerrold Baranda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Severino Mendizabal came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Montevideo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severino Mendizabal couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Tala Fútbol Club's zone, Severino Mendizabal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Texidor came out of the goal and Severino Mendizabal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tala Fútbol Club's David Texidor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Tala Fútbol Club from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Montevideo AFC's Isadore Sierra got a free kick in the 93rd minute. In the 94th minute of the match Lartaun Reigada shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Calixto Vigil showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Severino Mendizabal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
