The supporters of Hercules FC booed when Borracho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marques Tarsa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Borracho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aitor Secadura came free, but Sugar Portero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Hercules FC's Zuzen Vuelta got control of the ball when Nando Corel tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 16th minute, Quilo Abaurre reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Zuzen Vuelta. The goal made the score 1-0. Jüri Umal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sugar Portero having to interfere. Borracho FC's Sugar Portero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aitor Secadura in the 21st minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hercules FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! In the 50th minute there was a penalty for Borracho FC. Oliveiro Azailla stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Zuzen Vuelta. 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

After a defensive mix-up in Borracho FC's zone, Aitor Secadura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sugar Portero came out of the goal and Aitor Secadura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aitor Secadura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Sugar Portero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quilo Abaurre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jüri Umal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aitor Secadura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 86 minutes of play, Hercules FC's Aitor Secadura made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sugar Portero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hercules FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
