Spectators: 6697 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1697, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Fernan Romano got the match started through his kick off. Joanico AFC were furious when Grabiel Salgueiro was red carded, 3 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 2nd minute, one of Joanico AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Joanico AFC. The referee gave Sarandi AFC a penalty, 5 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Damian Dorol, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Joanico AFC's Fernandez Larabiedra. 0-1. Joanico AFC's Fernandez Larabiedra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentine Cubian in the 8th minute of play. After some careless play in the Joanico AFC defense, Valentine Cubian kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernandez Larabiedra. The Joanico AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernandez Larabiedra should have stopped the shot. Sarandi AFC's Valentine Cubian got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fernandez Larabiedra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paublo Ibarrola, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Sarandi AFC's Bieito Candanedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Sarandi AFC from getting a goal against them. If Eulalio Rivacoba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valentine Cubian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Paublo Ibarrola came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Sarandi AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paublo Ibarrola couldn't finish the play. Alberino Ormaechea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Sarandi AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paublo Ibarrola stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Eulalio Rivacoba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bieito Candanedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. A collision led to Sarandi AFC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Carlos Atencio hit a great ball. Eulalio Rivacoba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bieito Candanedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camilo Betancurt, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Eulalio Rivacoba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bieito Candanedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Mauro Poncelas charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mauro Poncelas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sarandi AFC booed when Joanico AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Poncelas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valentine Cubian struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Fernandez Larabiedra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sarandi AFC. In the 86th match minute, Joanico AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Poncelas to maneuver through the defense. Paublo Ibarrola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandez Larabiedra having to interfere. When Sarandi AFC's Alberino Ormaechea in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Joanico AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 95th minute, Archibaldo Pamo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joanico AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Paublo Ibarrola scored to the left of an out of position Fernandez Larabiedra, making the score, 1-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sarandi AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
