Behe Colmenares came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Oriental de La Paz's Gonzo Beyso. But to his dismay, Gonzo Beyso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After the first half Club Oriental de La Paz were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Txeru Zapico took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Xelo Afonso. Club Oriental de La Paz's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Club Oriental de La Paz's Xelo Afonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Venceslas Rio in the 55th minute of play. Gonzo Beyso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Behe Colmenares having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 70 minutes into the game, when Carlos Carrozal put in a rough tackle. An unexpectedly hard shot by Venceslas Rio in the 79th minute of play forced Club Oriental de La Paz's goalkeeper Xelo Afonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Demetrio Lodero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 84 minutes, Gonzo Beyso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Oriental de La Paz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonzo Beyso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Venceslas Rio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 96 minutes into the match, Club Oriental de La Paz's goal looked a bit too open when Demetrio Lodero came free, but Xelo Afonso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reynold's Venceslas Rio got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Reynold fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Club Oriental de La Paz were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
