Spectators: 7382 (Terracing: 5538, Seating: 1697, VIP seats: 147) Paco Gerte's Filiberto Rabe started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xzaver Barbadillo in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carmelo Sobremonte saved Paco Gerte from getting behind. Paco Gerte's Carmelo Sobremonte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caracakingo Francia in the 6th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Fonda Olabe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Americo Gama received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Quinton Vivanco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xzaver Barbadillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carmelo Sobremonte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xzaver Barbadillo in the 14th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Caracakingo Francia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soto AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Caracakingo Francia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carmelo Sobremonte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfonso Unzaga charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfonso Unzaga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Soto AFC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Alfonso Unzaga hit a great ball. Quinton Vivanco was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Orkatz Armendarez. Filiberto Rabe kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. A collision led to Soto AFC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Lander Vieitez hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, Paco Gerte's Orkatz Armendarez broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Soto AFC booed when Paco Gerte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orkatz Armendarez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfonso Unzaga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carmelo Sobremonte. Paco Gerte's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Americo Gama's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Quinton Vivanco skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Americo Gama's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Quinton Vivanco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Carmelo Sobremonte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xzaver Barbadillo in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caracakingo Francia in the 61st minute of play forced Paco Gerte's goalkeeper Carmelo Sobremonte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carmelo Sobremonte didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 63rd minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Soto AFC's goalkeeper Quinton Vivanco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 68 minutes into the game, Garci Munis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Soto AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paco Gerte the free kick. The supporters of Paco Gerte booed when Soto AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Garci Munis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Soto AFC's zone, Americo Gama stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Quinton Vivanco came out of the goal and Americo Gama tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filiberto Rabe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Garci Munis was shown his second yellow card after 74 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 75th match minute, Soto AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garci Munis to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Lucado Gamez in the 85th minute really tested Carmelo Sobremonte's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Filiberto Rabe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Quinton Vivanco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Soto AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Soto AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
