Spectators: 6728 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) Salomone Rado made the kick off and thus started the match. Mikel Alzedar kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Tacuarembo's Kauldi Mardones got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute of the match Oton Holgado sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andrew Peart skillfully saved the ball. Eliseo Serrana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eudoxio Barrutia in the 9th minute of play forced Tacuarembo's goalkeeper Andrew Peart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lizar Diego sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrew Peart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eudoxio Barrutia in the 14th minute of the match. If Eliseo Serrana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, Piriapolis's Eudoxio Barrutia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andrew Peart narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 18 minutes, Eudoxio Barrutia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piriapolis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eudoxio Barrutia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Eudoxio Barrutia reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Andrew Peart. The goal made the score 1-0. If Salomone Rado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Lizar Diego got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eliseo Serrana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Andrew Peart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eudoxio Barrutia to make the kick off. Lizar Diego scored 1-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilixo Oton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eliseo Serrana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zosimo Hernaez kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 78th match minute, Tacuarembo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zosimo Hernaez to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Piriapolis booed when Tacuarembo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jokin Cavazos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Piriapolis's zone, Lizar Diego stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ilixo Oton came out of the goal and Lizar Diego tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 91 minutes into the match, Piriapolis's goalkeeper Ilixo Oton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lizar Diego. In the 92nd minute, Salomone Rado fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 94th minute Salomone Rado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilixo Oton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliseo Serrana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Andrew Peart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
