Tanio Vicente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niva Bustillo in the 4th minute of the match. Anibal Bonilla took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emesto Gegundez. Emesto Gegundez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Ivan Ispuzua kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. If Tab Bolaño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the game, Lalo Baltuile was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carmelo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varese the free kick. Lalo Baltuile hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute of the match Derwin Prada shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tanio Vicente showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 28 played minutes Varese got a freekick which was hit by Marciano Sanjuan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niva Bustillo in the 30th minute of play forced Carmelo's goalkeeper Tanio Vicente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Niva Bustillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tanio Vicente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niva Bustillo in the 40th minute of the match. Niva Bustillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanio Vicente having to interfere. After 45 minutes of play, Varese's Niva Bustillo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tanio Vicente was left in no man's land by his defense there!

Varese's Marciano Sanjuan got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Marciano Sanjuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70thth minute of the game Niva Bustillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carmelo's Tanio Vicente was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Carmelo's Tanio Vicente got control of the ball when Marciano Sanjuan tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Marciano Sanjuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tanio Vicente was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Librado Lisarra. Niva Bustillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Anibal Bonilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Tab Bolaño hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute of the match Andres Orosco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emesto Gegundez skillfully saved the ball. Carmelo were furious when Severiano Cespedes was red carded, 94 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 93 minutes into the game, one of Carmelo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 1-2 came through a penalty shot after 96 played minutes, when Varese:s Derwin Prada calmly waited for Carmelo:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. The Varese players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
