The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Isusko Baeza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Sequeira's goal looked a bit too open when Xurde Meleon came free, but Uzuri Pobes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Máquina Tricolor's Frisco Monelo got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Uzuri Pobes was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Xurde Meleon capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Xurde Meleon really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Kismi Calera hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Xurde Meleon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Máquina Tricolor's supporters rose to their feet, but Xurde Meleon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Uzuri Pobes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Xurde Meleon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uzuri Pobes having to interfere. Frisco Monelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Uzuri Pobes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mercurio Zabala kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Iturri Arnero got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Uzuri Pobes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 66 minutes, Mercurio Zabala mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sequeira and the Máquina Tricolor players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th match minute, Sequeira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mercurio Zabala to maneuver through the defense. After 67 played minutes, Máquina Tricolor's Senen Guezmes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Uzuri Pobes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Máquina Tricolor reached it. Senen Guezmes's late challenge caught a Sequeira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Senen Guezmes helped the player get up and apologised. German Fias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isusko Baeza having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Máquina Tricolor's zone, German Fias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isusko Baeza came out of the goal and German Fias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 82nd minute of the match Iturri Arnero shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Uzuri Pobes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 83rd minute, Senen Guezmes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frisco Monelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Uzuri Pobes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Frisco Monelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sequeira's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
